Selling on eBay like a Pro
I've had a decent success selling on eBay auctions. I've sold my used things and I have also gone to the next level by buying and reselling things that are hard to find. To go Pro and to save money on ebay fees the next logical step is to open an ebay store. Ebay stores are great because they appear in ebay search results and offer lower fees than regular fixed-price listings.

There are 2 paths to take when selling on ebay:
1. You don't have extra money to buy stuff to sell:
If you are like most people, you don't have $1000.00 lying around to start your ebay busniess. So where do you get your merchandise from? First, check your basement, attick, clutter room, garage, etc. Selling your old items is a great way to start off your business.
2. You have some money AND time to buy merchandise and RESEARCH:
If you have money or credit you can watch market trends on stuff you are interested in. Let's say you like videogames then you could make money by being informed on new releases and merchandise shortages and take advantage of this. The best example of this is the Nintendo Wii. The main drawback to this strategy is the seasonality of it.
A more stable method of making money is buying from wholesalers. By buying in bulk you usually save money on each individual item. A great place to search for wholesalers is right on ebay. You can usually negotiate with wholesalers to get good prices, so don't buy stuff just because it seems cheap!
Other methods of getting merchandise are to seek out deals on ebay itself. Listings at bad times of the day, misspellings, or poor item descriptions usually sell at lower prices. Thus, you could make a profit from those seller's mistakes.
Finally a more low tech way of getting merchandise is at yard sales and auctions. These events give you the person to person interactions that make it easy to negotiate prices and obtaing great bargains. These will transform into profits once you sell them.
Other Methoids:
A very popular method is to sell others items on ebay. Here you will charge a fee to the original item owner once their item sells. This is called consignment and I will talk about it later.
